The world has stopped and quiet is the new loud,
Blindly, stumbling, I'm a stranger, in this crowd.

You where my shelter, rock and ground.
Now I stand alone, bleeding, as shattered sound.

My laughter and light took a different turn,
I'm left behind, feeling sorrow, being burned.

I brought you smile I brought you sunshine,
you saw away, turned around, no longer mine.

All empty inside I'm so hollow,

my love flew away, can't follow.

No longer to me you belong,

what did I do that was so wrong?

You robbed my heart, I regret being bold
My hand so empty, I've lost my gold.

We loved so strongly, you lifted us so high.
How could this be, when did it became a lie?

The joy is missing, birds no longer sing,
What good could this path possible bring.

You burned my skin, sat my heart on fire,
Hey I'm still her, yet dreadfully tired.

The young man stands on the edge of his porch
The days were short and the father was gone
